Right now, as you read these words, your brain is humming with electrical activity. It isn't just a chaotic buzz; it is a finely tuned symphony of frequencies known as brain waves.

Delta waves trigger the release of growth hormones, facilitate healing, and allow the brain to clear out metabolic waste. Without Delta activity, our bodies literally begin to break down.

Just as the body heals most intensely when the conscious mind is silent, our spirits often find the most healing when we stop striving and "be still" before the Lord (Psalm 46:10). Delta waves are a physical manifestation of the Sabbath principle. They remind us that:
